Today was a great day. My little brother Brandon got to bless his son James Whiteley Crook. He did a fabulous job and was so sweet as a new "Daddy" holding him and giving him a blessing. It is always fun getting together with everyone to spend time together, and what better place than church. I appreciate when all my family are together it makes me happy and I love it. I wish that "ALL" my family could have been there but people live afar, and others have prior engagements. I hope that Craig and Heather know how very much they were and are always missed. You are never far from our thoughts and or prayers. Here are a few photos courtesy of my sister Carey who remembered her camera unlike myself...ahem...moving on...
You know when my older siblings had kids I was very excited and adored the kids and was envious because I wanted that, but it is different when you don't have any, so now that I am a parent and watching Brandon and Katie have their first child, I'm sure that it was like this for my four older siblings when they were looking on, but there is no way they could have ever prepared me for the love and emotion that would go into being a parent. I look at Brandon and I think he is about to go on one of the most exciting adventures ever and the love he will feel and is feeling isn't even half of it, just wait until he talks, or crawls, or gives kisses, and these are just a few of the things he does before hes 1 can you imagine after that? I hope they remember to take it all in and ENJOY it, because before you know it, baby #2 will be here and then you are double the emotion and let me just say after that you are never the same.
