Carys Elyse Moses born on 1/27/04 at 12:04 p.m.

I had a dream once after I had Avery that I would have 3 girls and a boy...thus far has been completely true, I guess we shall see what this next baby is, cause I don't have a clue beyond this point.

I went to the doctor on Monday January 26th because I hadn't felt my baby move since the Saturday before, so I went in for a stress test and to see if they could detect any movements...after 40 minutes...NOTHING! So my doctor at the time gave me an ultrasound, she didn't move at all during that either, panic....he said everything was fine, her heartbeat looked great, but for some reason she couldn't or wouldn't move, so...he told me to go home and pack a bag cause I was delivering her that day. I have to admit I was scared. I didn't know what to think or if everything was ok, or was going to be ok. My mom took Avery, and Aaron and I headed to the hospital to await the birth of our second daughter...

We never can agree on baby names its terrible. While pregnant we decided if it was a boy he could name him, and vice versa for me if it was a girl...so it was a girl. I really wanted Carys, and he wanted Elyse. I struggled with this, I felt bad that he wanted Elyse, so I almost named her Elyse, but then my selfish side came out and I thought, heck no if it was a boy I would have had to go along with his name and he wouldn't of felt the least bit bad...(my sons name should tell you all...Eben...he named him). Anyway, so I gave him Elyse though that's how nice I am.

We got to the hospital and they started me right away on the induction...I felt great my water broke pretty quickly, and then when I was a 4 the nurse came in while I was watching the Golden Girls...LOVE IT...and said well lets get you an epidural, I thought heck no I'm good. She gave me this speech about this is my second and she'll come faster etc...so I believed her and even though I wasn't psychologically ready for it, I went ahead, BIG MISTAKE. My blood pressure plummeted and I began puking, then they lost her heart beat constantly. It was scary and miserable. They put me on oxygen and kept flipping me side to side trying to find my sweet baby's heart beat...finally they found it. By the morning of the 27th I was almost completely dilated and feeling ok...my epidural was only working on my right leg, so I felt everything...ugh.
Everyone started coming...my great friend Misty, my sister in-law Vanessa, my Mom, (Jodi was out of town) and Aaron were all their for the birth.
After just a few pushes out came my little baby girl...she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck several times that's why she wasn't moving, she was perfectly healthy and gorgeous. She weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces, 21 inches long, and was exactly two weeks early.

That night they took her to get her pictures taken, when the nurse brought her back she was telling me how it went when she somehow in the very little light in the room saw that she was gasping for air. She picked her up and started to throw her to the floor to get her to breath, I was panicked, Aaron was asleep, and I thought holy cow what is this crazy nurse doing? She did it several more times while there she would just stop breathing, so she tried to put this tube down her throat and get fluid out of her lungs, but that didn't work either, so they took her to the nursery to try something else, which seemed to have done the trick. She swallowed amniotic fluid during birth and they didn't know it. I just felt so lucky that the nurse was there in the room when it all happened.

Carys was a miserable baby the first five months, terribly colicky, it wasn't fun. However, I knew that in time she would be fine. At five months I stopped nursing, and boom she was excellent. She was blissful, and perfect. She slept perfectly after that, never cried, and was such a blessing to our family.

Carys has the sweetest personality...she is shy, she is a hoarder, she has the cutest smile that lights up a room, and the most amazing blue eyes. She is a little Mommy to Eben, or whoevers child she comes across, she is super sensitive, loving, and affectionate. She is also the most girliest girl, she loves anything Princess, dress-up, makeup, dresses, getting her hair done, and playing anything. She is a child who when she makes a friend it is one she keeps for life...so Rhenley is her super special best friend. :)

Slacker...

So as you can see this post is called Slacker...someone else brought this to my attention today too that I hadn't posted for awhile so Tami this is for you.... :)

This is true in a lot of aspects of my life currently. I am currently super tired. I have been pregnant 5 times mind you, but nothing compares to this pregnancy. I feel ready for bed the minute I wake up. I seriously have to try to talk myself into things just to get rewarded. I tell myself, ok if you do 3 things then you can sit down and veg or in my case, fall asleep. I sit, and within minutes I am sound asleep. You wanna hear something horrible? Tonight, before Aaron got home from work, Eben fell down the last two stairs to the basement and he whimpered not cried, but I didn't get up to make sure he was ok. I sat there feeling so guilty but so physically exhausted I couldn't move. Sad huh?
I hate feeling like this. I feel great other than this. I have only had a couple of occasions of nausea but nothing major, the only thing is the fatigue which is kicking my butt.

I have so much to do and no energy to do it. This is where I wish I had a maid or a chef, that would rock. I feel like everything is falling apart around me, I feel like my house isn't as clean as I want, the laundry needs to be done, my floors need to be mopped, and I feel too overwhelmed, I'm very emotional and on the verge of tears 98% of the time...lucky me huh?

So as I mentioned I got a fabulous new camera for Christmas from my hubby which I love, but as you can see still no pictures, well we cant find the cable that connects to the camera and then to the computer to download the pictures, which makes me so mad. It was just on the computer desk the other day, but now....no where to be found. So...now I have to go buy a new cable. Lucky me huh? I have a ton of great pictures I cant wait to share. I need to get it working because I have a Birthday girl this week and I need to post her Birthday pictures. I cant believe my little Carys is going to be 6 on Wednesday. It just seems like yesterday I had her.

I promise to do better at posting, but trust me to type means energy...and we've covered this right? So you will just have to take what you can get ok? LOL

Here's to wishing I had vivarin, in an IV of course.

I had a journal once. I had some when I was really young but that's nothing too exciting, but when I was an adult I decided to start writing in one, during a very rough time in my life. Aaron and I were divorcing, we were separated and I was having a hard time. I would write about all the emotions I was going through, the bad choices I was making, it was a place I felt safe venting, and I felt comfortable to be able to just open up and share those deep feelings. I did it for months, and it was a great way of coping.

Until, someone decided to read my journal and use it against me. It was really hard for me, I held things in after that and I didn't ever write in one again. I struggled with this for along time but eventually I forgave and moved on.

Now, this is my journal. I am still pretty tamed. I still hold back some, and I still reserve some of my emotions for myself. I have been burned far too many times, and that is just too painful, but I also know that with age has come wisdom, listen to me all noble, ha that's funny. However though, it is true I have learned that even the things I do share or the things I feel is a bit much, honestly I don't care. I would never hurt someone on purpose, or throw someone under the bus, but I also know that I am honest in my posts.

I have something more to write about too. I have kids now, I have great things that fill my time, energy, and my life. Its a new found freedom to share things with all of you, and just to be able to document my life, and theirs.
Dear Pregnancy,

Feeling very blessed :)

I feel very blessed these days, perhaps more than usual. As many of you know I am currently pregnant with baby #5, I know we are a bit crazy, but it works for us. Anyways, we found out very very early because of a very thorough doctor that I had a very large hematoma. So for weeks I was going in weekly and having tons of blood work done. Ive had 4 ultrasounds, and lots of worried faces. I was on a semi-minimized bed rest. I couldn't do alot of things (I did do some though :0) like vacuum, carry Eben on occasion...oops. Every week we would go in to see if there was any changes in my situation..nothing. It was a large hematoma, the week before last when we went in the doctors concern was all over his face, he told me all the do's and dont's...again to make sure I completely understood, which I did, then this past Thursday we went back in and amazingly enough the hematoma was GONE. We don't know how this happened or when, but the ultrasound tech was shocked as well, she just kept looking and there was nothing there except a very healthy looking baby with a great heart beat and growing right on schedule. The tech said that someone must be watching over us. I guess that is very true, we completely feel blessed. We know that with all of the prayers on our behalf and behalf of this baby it is gone. So for now...we are out of the woods. I still need to be careful and not over do it, but as for weekly appointments, no need, I am a boring ole' patient every 4 weeks right now. :)

Music...Happy Birthday Elvis!

I'm a lover of many things...(in no particular order)
chocolate
Pepsi
my children
being pregnant
my husband
my family
the gospel
snow
warm blankets
comfy clothes
cleaning
laughing, etc...
but there is one thing I really do love not more than the others but something I neglect a lot because of children, responsibilities, etc...and that is my love of MUSIC. I love music. I don't play any instrument..nothing. However, I am one of those crazy people who, by themselves blare the radio as loud as I can to a great song and I sing to my hearts content, sometimes if its just the girls and I we do that anyway.
I don't always get to listen to music very often, I try, I have an ipod with music on it, but again I forget about it.
Tonight, I was updating my blog and my blog music when I ran across some great music, again let me just say I love music, I don't love what everyone else does, I like alot of stuff that no one else cares for, and that's ok with me I'm good with that. Such as Elvis Presley..LOVE HIM...my husband hates him and thinks I'm crazy, but love him, I love Air Supply, again I don't care what others think...oh Air Supply how you get neglected...I also like old time country Doug Stone, Travis Tritt, Dixie Chicks (please don't hate me for that one). Songs get me every time. Such as Doug Stones Coming out of the pain, or I never knew love..oh they have me in tears every bloomin' time, or Dixie Chicks Not ready to make nice, that's one you love to sing to really loud and gets you going...so many...I love them all.
In the car when All American Rejects comes on Gives you hell, I completely turn it up, and my kids know that song and love it. (Bad MOMMY)
Oh how I love music though. I love a song that takes you back to a great memory, or even just to one that isn't so pleasant but its still yours and you remember it. I have a love hate relationship with songs and memories such as those. I don't stop listening to songs just because...such as Poison Every Rose has its Thorn, a friend of mine in high school made me listen to that ALL the time because she was going through a hard time with the guy she was in-love with but he was lame and wasn't interested...I'm happy to say they are married today.
Its interesting to me how a song can take you on an emotional and exciting journey. My husband is a huge lover of music, HE LOVES it, but he also gets to listen to it way more than myself. Hes constantly listening to his itouch, on the computer while hes doing something, driving..etc...even in bed sometimes he listens to music and puts the head phones on me while we lay there together..its super sweet. :) We love to listen to Sarah Mclachlan Angel..we always have...
I love music, just in case I forgot to mention that...enjoy your weekend all. :)
