Happy Birthday to me...

Today is my 31st Birthday! That's right Im officially in my 30's. It so doesn't count being 30 and counting it as your 30's yet, so now its official I just had to clarify that. I have had a great start to my Birthday as of last night, some great friends of mine surprised me and took me to dinner and a movie which was FABULOUS...(17 Again is a must see). I have such great friends. My husband took the kids and fed them, put them to bed and the house looked great just as I left it when I got home...lol...this is a big deal for all you women out there who have a hubby who doesn't always pick up after your kidlets from a night out.

I have thought a lot about this magical day for me...not really, but I have been thinking about when I was 21 and how much happens in 10 years. First off at 21 I was already married in fact married for a year at 21 we didn't have kids but I thought then I was happy even though I wasn't active in the church, I hadn't been married in the temple, we both worked and hardly ever saw each other but somehow we thought it worked, we didn't have great relationships with our families, we just sort of got by. So now the question is would I go back? Would I go back to my 20's or teens? NOT A CHANCE!! I love, love, love where I am now, yes I am older but so much wiser. I have a great relationship with my husband, with my family, with Aaron's family, I am a Mom now with 4 amazing kids, I am an active temple worthy member of the church, I have friends that are good examples that make good choices, I live in a great neighborhood, I love my Ward, and I am HAPPY. Looking back what was I thinking? How did I truly think that was happiness? I am so glad that with age comes wisdom, perspective and patience.

I am very lucky to have the life that I love and the people in it that make it worth while. Thank you all for making every day a little better even when its not my Birthday!
