It's Your Love...

So, it's Friday...and I got to thinking...This weekend is going to be a little crazy my niece Jordan is getting baptized tomorrow and I doubt that I will make it back to the computer before Monday and before I need or want to do this post...so here it is.
Today is February 27th which to many isn't a very big day..well its not a HUGE day for me either I guess its only the day I met the love of my life.
You see it all started this day 11 years ago. I left work to head to Yakima to go see the guy I was dating and to spend the weekend with my brother Craig, his (ex-wife now) and their daughter Adrianna. I arrived there to stop to see a friend of mine that was working and where I would stay the first night. I could feel someone staring at me the whole time I was chatting with her when I was introduced to someone named Aaron...I felt like I was in a very quiet world all our own, nothing around me made since and I felt like I only had eyes for him, as I felt he did the same for me. That weekend I called off the "relationship" I was currently in and thought of only one person I had only met one time. I never imagined that something like that would happen, you watch the movies and think that doesn't happen like that or you don't fall in love that fast..etc...friends I am here to tell you it can and you do.
By Sunday I was still thinking of him but pushing him aside..until I heard those magic words to my ears that my friend said when she got home from working with him. "That Aaron is such a goody goody Mormon." I swear it was exactly what I needed to hear, which is so crazy because I wasn't very active and I hadn't dated hardly any members except one, so I don't know why I needed "that". By that night I had tracked down his number doing some white lies to get it, and might I add working with a different last name than his parents..ugh...I almost got discouraged until he answered the phone, and he was so excited to hear from me.
That phone call lasted that entire night...literally and hasn't completely ended. Our first date was March 1st, 1998 and we were married October 10, 1998. He became the love of my life. I have concurred so much with him, been through so much with him, and have never loved anyone as much as him. He makes me happy, he makes my life so much easier and worth while. I love this man...trust me at times I don't know why and I question it myself...LOL...but boy do I. In the words of Renee' Zellweger in Jerry McGuire..."You complete me".
So Happy 11 years Aaron...here's to many, many more! I love you.

He made my day....

So my husband hasn't hooked up the camera cord because he's re-doing all the wires and cords of the computer and has not hooked up my cord...my life line...what the heck? So I am so far behind on my blog I'm getting a little miffed to say the least, but I am trying to be patient because he's been working and now he's sick with a sinus infection so he's only half here. I guess I'll give him another day or so...lol.
Something very cute though to share. I have a very sweet father. Some of you may know him, some will just have to take my word for it. He is quiet, totally not like me...he stays out of things...again not like me...lol...funny...TOTALLY ME...but he sends all of us kids these messages ever so often about our blogs or pictures that are so sweet that just make my day, the messages are few and far between but mean so much to me. So I thought I would share this...and I hope he reads this and knows how much it means to me that he not only reads my (our) blog but that he tells us how much he appreciates it....he makes my day. He makes my heart smile! LOL

I have so much to add but don't have much time at present so as soon as I download pictures and get my thoughts together I will do my post. So much happened over the weekend and much more to come...Jocie's bithday is Wednesday and I know I will have lots more to add then too...so I will hold out a little longer and then do it all at once.

Avery Elizabeth it's your Birthday!!

Oh how they grow. Can you believe she was ever this little...she is adorable. She was such a good baby. She had the sweetest personality and made us laugh. She still is so sweet and kind hearted. She is just like me, she is very tender hearted...she is a great big sister, and most all the time she is a huge help to me. I adore her. I cant imagine not having her in our family. She makes my days a little brighter...they all do. She is 7 today...so please take a moment and wish my sweet, sweet, little girl a very Happy Birthday!

My Little Photographer...Carys...??

Carys is a character...she is so funny, every once in awhile I will go to download pictures on my digital camera and find some..."unplanned" photography...lol...in other words she has gotten a hold of it and decided to see how good she is. So here is her work. Enjoy! This is actually the better of them. Hey, shes 5!

Cheetah Girls...Cheetah SISTERS!!

I have the funniest kids ever...here are the girls in their identical matching "cheetah" jackets. They love them and they look adorable in them...of course...then they all have matching outfits on too...except in different colors. Jocie has on hot pink, Carys has on coral, and Avery's is green. They look so cute when they are matching, I so should have had twins.

Of course the picture wouldn't be complete without the 4th child so we had to have them all in the picture. Aren't they perfect? Well I think so.

We had a wonderful evening as a family we all went to dinner together and had a great time. Then my sweet hubby sent me out with a great friend to a late movie to see "He's just not that into you"...boy is that movie right on. It was hysterical, especially when you know everything is TRUE!! If only I had known all of this years ago it could of saved me so much time, but then again everything happens for a reason and now I have my LOVE, so in the end, I WON!!

So my ever so dreamy husband called me yesterday and asked me on a date...so I called up some very good babysitters (my brother in-law) and had him and a friend come stay with the kids.

Aaron and I haven't been "alone" on a date since before Eben was born 7 months ago, we've taken him places with us but not just the two of us. So I arrived to meet my sweetheart at the Theatre and was greeted at the car with him and all this in tow. He got me chocolates...my favorite candy snickers, a wonderful card, and the best thing a coupon book full of things he will "do" for "me." How great is that? So I took a few photos so you all could see the proof and he couldn't plead the 5th when I actually went to use one of these. LOL Which I'm sure he would never do.

We had a nice evening. We went to see New In Town...very cute and very funny. Aaron really liked it too. We got to eat our popcorn, hold hands, and laugh to our hearts content. Then he walked me to my car, opened my door, and kissed me goodnight. Doesn't get any better than that.

EBEN ROBERT MOSES...what a big boy you are.

My sweet little (well big boy). Eben is great. This post is to brag..just a little. My little man is almost 7 months old now and yesterday he got his first tooth...yep I said it, his first one. Can you believe it? He is so sweet and such a trooper. He is such a great baby. I took him to the doctor the other day and he weighs 19 pounds 14 ounces. He's a moose. He is by far my bigger baby at this age. He is so good natured and happy 99.7% of the time. I take him back in on Monday for his "official" 6 month appointment, they are a little behind at the office. So when I get more information I will post. But for now enjoy this!

My First Diaper Cake....

So I know I'm not a professional in the least but I thought I'd give this Diaper cake a try. I got the brilliant idea from my mother in-law and sister in-law. They are so creative so going with an idea of theirs is a risky move...lol...but here it is. I'm throwing my sister in-law Katie a shower on the 21st (next week) and made this for such occasion. Why so early? I had to master my skill..or lack of. I hope she likes it I have a lot more to do to get ready and when I'm officially done I will post all of the things I did...so here's some pictures of the "diaper cake" and some posers with it...actually they were very helpful to me...hope you like.

Am I the only one seeing chocolate??

So Carys had a field trip today for Pre-School. So we headed to Country Mercantile which is this great chocolate/pumpkin patch/store/everything store its clear out in no mans land but worth the drive...so in honor of Valentines Day we went to have a tour of their chocolate factory and how its made and then they got to make some of their own to take home with them. We had lots of fun and got lots of chocolate. Yummy!

Why oh why I ask?

So, I often find myself thinking about things...deep things...well deep to me..duh! I think about being a good mother...finances...my own expectations of myself and others and if I am unrealistic. I often wonder why things work out for us the way they do, how things fall into place, or how you meet people at certain times in your life and why now. I think of people who I knew years ago, and there is no way I would ever be friends with them now, and vice versa..the friends I have now I wonder would I still have been there friend 5-10 years ago...chances are not. So many questions and so many without answers.
I also find myself asking the most dumbest, such as why I am or just did clean the basement that looked like a tsunami hit it at 1:00 in the morning, what am I thinking? Also, when my husband went to bed and said "sweetheart come with me," why I chose to finish this silly task and then...then get on the computer to post this? See I told you dumb right? The really sad thing is I'm looking at the storage/craft room to my right and thinking I wonder how long that would take me if I did it now? LOL Crazy! I'm also thinking that I never got around to mopping today or vacuuming and I should totally do that...even now.
I also think about the sweet things like tonight while watching Family Feud with Avery (we love this) she reached over and started tickling my arm without being asked cause she knows how much I love it, or that my almost 3 year old came downstairs when she was supposed to be in bed and climbed up on my lap and asked me to tickle her face...LOL...while doing so Eben tried to help making her a little peeved...
I also think about the good things. Growing up all I wanted to do is be a Mother, I had other ideas I would fall back on if I didn't become one..such as an opera singer...lol...a comedian, and a writer, fine career goals huh? Luckily for me I got my dream job, I'm a little under paid, and I tend to work alot of over time but really I don't mind at all. I actually feel that I should be paying someone because in no other position do I get to climb into bed at night and feel this way and look forward to my next day.
So goodnight all...I'm going to keep my thoughts in check tonight. I'm going to go check on my four bosses and see if there is anything they need, and then I'm going to get in bed and snuggle with my Supervisor ;) LOL

January 31st...Family Party

Tonight we invited Aaron's Family over, and mine of course to help celebrate Carys' Birthday...again...

Grma Jodi and Grpa Bob came with Eli and Ira...Ethan came after work...and of course Brandon and Katie came over...she had so much fun and loved the attention. She got lots of High School Musical things, Jocelyn got a Dora toy so she wasn't left out, and Avery got a High School Musical toy as well. They were all pretty happy. She also got a gift card to McDs from B & K. It was a very nice evening and very fun for everyone...thank you all who did come and help us celebrate our 5 year olds Birthday.

Evening of the 27th....

We invited Grandma and Grandpa Crook over for dinner and then she got to open her presents, she was very excited. She got some clothes (Grma & Grpa), a Leapster Leapfrog (Mom & Dad), and of course what she's been dying for...Princess Sheets...lol.

Carys' Birthday....January 27th

Today was our day to have Preschool at our house, which just happens to be Carys' Birthday so we decided along with the lesson to have some fun as well and turn it into a "mini" party so we decorated cupcakes with the kids.

They all had fun and loved to decorate them for their families. Carys was so excited to be having her friends over.

Even Eben got into the fun...lol...we played duck duck goose, and talked about the letter of the day, and did our lesson. It was a great Preschool/Birthday.
