So, I often find myself thinking about things...deep things...well deep to me..duh! I think about being a good mother...finances...my own expectations of myself and others and if I am unrealistic. I often wonder why things work out for us the way they do, how things fall into place, or how you meet people at certain times in your life and why now. I think of people who I knew years ago, and there is no way I would ever be friends with them now, and vice versa..the friends I have now I wonder would I still have been there friend 5-10 years ago...chances are not. So many questions and so many without answers.
I also find myself asking the most dumbest, such as why I am or just did clean the basement that looked like a tsunami hit it at 1:00 in the morning, what am I thinking? Also, when my husband went to bed and said "sweetheart come with me," why I chose to finish this silly task and then...then get on the computer to post this? See I told you dumb right? The really sad thing is I'm looking at the storage/craft room to my right and thinking I wonder how long that would take me if I did it now? LOL Crazy! I'm also thinking that I never got around to mopping today or vacuuming and I should totally do that...even now.
I also think about the sweet things like tonight while watching Family Feud with Avery (we love this) she reached over and started tickling my arm without being asked cause she knows how much I love it, or that my almost 3 year old came downstairs when she was supposed to be in bed and climbed up on my lap and asked me to tickle her face...LOL...while doing so Eben tried to help making her a little peeved...
I also think about the good things. Growing up all I wanted to do is be a Mother, I had other ideas I would fall back on if I didn't become one..such as an opera singer...lol...a comedian, and a writer, fine career goals huh? Luckily for me I got my dream job, I'm a little under paid, and I tend to work alot of over time but really I don't mind at all. I actually feel that I should be paying someone because in no other position do I get to climb into bed at night and feel this way and look forward to my next day.
So goodnight all...I'm going to keep my thoughts in check tonight. I'm going to go check on my four bosses and see if there is anything they need, and then I'm going to get in bed and snuggle with my Supervisor ;) LOL

You are hilarious! I love you girly:) I'm awake at 1:52am, and thinking similar things:)lol
you make me laugh, you are the night owl thinking these things, and I am up with Ward at 4:30am wondering if the vacuum will wake the girls :) Crazy...
you are so funny! give the girls (and boy!) hugs for us!
I would never be up at 1:00am and wanting to do house work...lol I might get up at 1:00 to use the bathroom and then right back to bed I go. Its bad enough I do housework durning the day. Get some sleep silly sister of mine.
WHEN THE PHONE RINGS AFTER 11:00....or even 12 at night, I no longer wonder who could it be. Its Kristen!! No she isn't breathing heavy into the phone, she just wants to chat, because she knows her crazy, insomniac mother is still a wake. I tell her don't you know mothers are supposed to sleep when their children are sleeping!!! Then the next night the phone rings at 11:15So. does it surprise me Kristen is still up at 1 a.m NO! She would do the same thing when she was in High School. TAlk about a surpise when I would come down to check on the kids (the ones still home) and there she'd be, cleaning out drawers, boxes of papers or writing poems!!!! Thats my girl!!!
My mind seems to always be on overdrive too. However when my hubby asks me to join him in the bedroom and no kids are around--I am RUNNING!! LOL :)
You are a great writer! I loved this post. You are amazing! Enjoy the journey they grow so fast. It's hard to believe that Tracy and I are down to 2 at home. IT'S CRAZY!
