Music...Happy Birthday Elvis!

I'm a lover of many things...(in no particular order)
chocolate
Pepsi
my children
being pregnant
my husband
my family
the gospel
snow
warm blankets
comfy clothes
cleaning
laughing, etc...
but there is one thing I really do love not more than the others but something I neglect a lot because of children, responsibilities, etc...and that is my love of MUSIC. I love music. I don't play any instrument..nothing. However, I am one of those crazy people who, by themselves blare the radio as loud as I can to a great song and I sing to my hearts content, sometimes if its just the girls and I we do that anyway.
I don't always get to listen to music very often, I try, I have an ipod with music on it, but again I forget about it.
Tonight, I was updating my blog and my blog music when I ran across some great music, again let me just say I love music, I don't love what everyone else does, I like alot of stuff that no one else cares for, and that's ok with me I'm good with that. Such as Elvis Presley..LOVE HIM...my husband hates him and thinks I'm crazy, but love him, I love Air Supply, again I don't care what others think...oh Air Supply how you get neglected...I also like old time country Doug Stone, Travis Tritt, Dixie Chicks (please don't hate me for that one). Songs get me every time. Such as Doug Stones Coming out of the pain, or I never knew love..oh they have me in tears every bloomin' time, or Dixie Chicks Not ready to make nice, that's one you love to sing to really loud and gets you going...so many...I love them all.
In the car when All American Rejects comes on Gives you hell, I completely turn it up, and my kids know that song and love it. (Bad MOMMY)
Oh how I love music though. I love a song that takes you back to a great memory, or even just to one that isn't so pleasant but its still yours and you remember it. I have a love hate relationship with songs and memories such as those. I don't stop listening to songs just because...such as Poison Every Rose has its Thorn, a friend of mine in high school made me listen to that ALL the time because she was going through a hard time with the guy she was in-love with but he was lame and wasn't interested...I'm happy to say they are married today.
Its interesting to me how a song can take you on an emotional and exciting journey. My husband is a huge lover of music, HE LOVES it, but he also gets to listen to it way more than myself. Hes constantly listening to his itouch, on the computer while hes doing something, driving..etc...even in bed sometimes he listens to music and puts the head phones on me while we lay there together..its super sweet. :) We love to listen to Sarah Mclachlan Angel..we always have...
I love music, just in case I forgot to mention that...enjoy your weekend all. :)
