Like I said before, we love the 4th of July. We took it easy the first part, it was actually really nice. Avery took TWO NAPS. (I know). Jocelyn took one really long one with her. They slept and so did Eben while Carys and I got everything else ready. When Aaron got home from work we all headed out for the night. We had so much fun tonight with our good friends. They always have quite the festivities and fun at their home. They have four girls which works wonders for ours. They play, they got in the slip in slide, they ate to their hearts content, drank way too much pop, laughed, watched the fireworks together while Alan and Aaron put the show on, it was great. Eben wandered around the yard and played, Ethan (Aaron's brother) came for dinner, it was great. Lots and lots of friends and family come and everyone has such a good time together. Cant wait for next years show...
Surprisingly my kids did good with the fireworks. They all were able to stay outside unlike last year. Carys was the "hall monitor" making sure all the kids were far enough away, she made sure everyone was safe with blankets and sparklers, etc...all she needed was a whistle. Jocelyn fell asleep in my arms just as she did last year, and Eben sat in his stroller just chillin.
